The Riesling Grand Cru Hengst from Domaine Josmeyer is an Alsatian icon: dry, powerful, and mineral, with impressive aging potential. In warm years, the nose opens expressively, with aromas of candied citrus, pink grapefruit, and spicy notes, supported by a radiant minerality. The palate is lively and full, supported by crystal-clear, precise acidity and fresh citrus and herbal notes. In cooler vintages, the wine is initially restrained, but after 5 to 7 years, it develops a refined, floral character. Delicate aromas of verbena, limestone, and subtle floral nuances emerge. The Hengst Grand Cru is known for its complex structure and layering, which unfolds beautifully with age. A grand Alsatian Riesling that masterfully combines elegance, power, and terroir expression.
