Perricone "Vigna del Core"

Feudo Montoni 's Perricone Del Core is made from an indigenous grape variety that has been cultivated on the estate for centuries. The current vines, some 40 years old, were hand-grafted onto wild plants—a technique the estate is particularly proud of. The name Del Core refers to the heart-shaped vineyard, visible from the air. In the glass, it is ruby red with purple hues. The nose offers ripe red fruit, plums, licorice, and cocoa. This wine is robust yet soft and round, with polished tannins. On the palate, it reveals beautiful, ripe fruit, complemented by notes of cocoa and licorice. The finish is full and long.
