Jean-Paul Brun 's Saint-Amour comes from the northernmost cru of Beaujolais, made from 50-year-old Gamay vines on granite soils. The grapes are harvested by hand, undergo natural fermentation with wild yeasts, and then mature in concrete vats to preserve the pure fruit. In the glass, it's a bright ruby red, with aromas of ripe blackberries, red fruit, and a subtle spice. Floral and earthy notes are delicately complemented by a hint of pepper. On the palate, it's juicy, balanced, and lively, with fresh acidity and elegant tannins. The finish is aromatic and complex, with pure fruit that lingers. A characterful Saint-Amour Beaujolais that combines elegance and charm.
